Cockroach in Florida Hotel

"Seriously, it's 1:30 A.M.; I just got off a flight, I'm starving!" I shouted in the rental car. "You can eat once we're in the room," my dad rightfully replies. I was in Orlando, Florida, after a stop in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a flight from San Jose, California. For some reason, on the plane, I only got snacks.

So, you can imagine how hungry I was. I was as hungry as a lion that hasn't eaten in 3 weeks. We sped into the hotel. Then, we took a few minutes to check-in. Finally, I clawed my way up to the hotel suite.

I was getting ready to go to a bath when my sister suddenly screamed, "Cockroach!"

"Where? Where?" I asked. Cockroaches terrified me, and right now, I was terrified, no, petrified.

"On the table near the TV," my dad answered. Now I could see it. It was near a welcome card sent by the hotel clerk on the TV table. Quickly, my dad swung himself toward the phone and called the front desk.

"Hello, there is a cockroach in our room. It's near the welcome card on the table where the TV lies. Okay," he firmly said." The hotel manager is going to come up immediately,"

"Get it out." I slowly but in a scared tone, said out loud.

"Calm down, calm down," my mom said calmly. The cockroach was trying to hide from us, but everyone could see it.

"Go for a bath," my mom instructed.

"No way, especially with a cockroach in our hotel room!" I yelled back to my mom. Just then, there was a knock on the door. My dad quickly ran and opened the door as quiet as a mouse.

"Come downstairs to the check-in counter, and I'll have you a new room," the hotel manager slowly said.

"Okay," my dad replied. My dad slipped downstairs with the hotel manager. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! I could hear my dad's footsteps as we waited in silence until he came back up a few minutes later.

"We have room 361," my dad scarcely said.

"Finally!" I shout. I was so relieved. Once he got the card, I was as relieved as I had just lost a lion that had been chasing and trying to eat me. Finally, I could eat in peace.
